Ever since I got my first film camera as a child, I have loved photography. It still amazes me to think that my favorite childhood pastime of “playing photographer” is still one of my favorite things to do today & truly makes my heart SO happy. I have always had an undying passion for photography and it has never faded. And… if I may, I can humbly admit & say that is mainly due to my parents.
I am forever grateful for my parents, as well as their continuous intentions of teaching me responsibility. However, I am also thankful for their willingness to always support my hobbies and the things I love. Now, I have to admit that I am endlessly indebted for the countless times they caved on their own rhetoric, “Be careful with this camera, Angelle. This is the last one we are buying you!” At this point you may have picked up that I wasn’t the easiest child on cameras & I might have been given more cameras growing up than I ever deserved. Actually, I KNOW. Especially being that I have gone through at least 7 different cameras that I can remember. (Have I mentioned just how much I have always loved photography AND that I’m not the most graceful and tend to break things?) So as you can image, me being deemed “the girl with her camera” wasn’t anything new to me. I have to admit that I might have been a little overzealous at times. Hahaha, Okay, I KNOW I was and I can see how my friends’ rolling their eyes when I would say “SMILE” was TOTALLY justified! But even in hindsight, I wouldn’t change it for a thing.
After all, these were the days BEFORE digital cameras. I would save every cent I had to give to my dad for him to go and drop off my rolls of film to be developed. I LOVE the fact that I have boxes and boxes full of pictures from my childhood through my early 20’s. It makes me smile just thinking about all of the timeless memories that I have that I most likely wouldn’t remember. And it is THAT FEELING, that warm & comforting feeling of a memory that brings you back to a time otherwise lost, that is one of my favorite things about…  the magic of photography.

Since then, much has changed in the world of photography, but my love of capturing moments and emotion has not wavered & truly is an expression of myself. It was in 2009 that I felt the realization of the true & everlasting emotions that an image can have… and that experience is what ultimately lead to Angelle Jumonville Photography being born.
My photography is sincere and photojournalistic, and focuses on the people, emotions, and culture around us. I love capturing the best moments in people’s lives: both the obvious engagements, weddings and other life events, and the more subtle family and senior portraits of growing families and individuals. I love getting to know each and every one of my clients, learning what is special to them, and capturing it all in vivid color.
Hours are spent preparing for each session and event to make sure that I get it just right, and afterwards each image is edited individually to bring out its best. From start to finish (even that very last reception photo of your cousin trying to breakdance) I am proud to say that I am fully vested in your photographs. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. No less than my absolute best. For more information about what you can expect during your session with me, please visit my FAQ section here on the blog! I also have additional information readily available to you in my session welcome magazines!
